About this beach
Started out as 245 acres of undeveloped, swampy land and is now one of South Florida's most exclusive enclaves, anchored by Bal Harbour Shops since 1965. The beach has been replenished more than once after erosion, most recently in 1971, and today it's a tidy, fully built-up strip.
